IncobotulinumtoxinA is a botulinum neurotoxin type A that is free from complexing proteins and is used in various therapeutic indications and aesthetic medicine. It is approved for the treatment of glabellar frown lines in the United States. In Europe, it is also approved for the treatment of lateral periorbital lines (crow's feet) and for the combined treatment of upper facial lines, including glabellar frown lines, crow's feet, and horizontal forehead lines. In the present study, incobotulinumtoxinA was injected at two different dilutions to treat female subjects aged 40 to 50 years who had moderate-to-severe lateral periorbital lines at maximum contraction according to a score of 2 or 3 points on the 5-point Merz Aesthetics Scales (MAS). For Group 1 (n=20), 50U of incobotulinumtoxinA were reconstituted with 1.60mL of 0.9% NaCI, and for Group 2 (n=20), a reconstitution volume of 0.55mL was used. Merz Aesthetics Scales scores were markedly improved by at least one point in both groups at one month and three months. The mean Merz Aesthetics Scales scores at one month were 0.4 and 0.6 points for Group 1 and Group 2, respectively, corresponding to a mean improvement of 2.0 and 1.8 points compared with baseline, respectively. No significant differences in efficacy and tolerability of incobotulinumtoxinA were seen between the two dilutions at any time point.

A 73-year-old male with a history of incidentally diagnosed Paget disease of bone affecting the skull and left orbit 2 years prior presented with 3 months of vision loss, proptosis, and periorbital swelling of the OS. Examination showed best-corrected Snellen visual acuity of 20/150 in the affected eye, intact motility, 7 mm of relative proptosis, significant dilated and tortuous "corkscrew" conjunctival vessels, serous choroidal and retinal detachments, optic nerve hyperemia, and venous tortuosity and dilation. Although the bony lesions in the left orbit were stable from 1 year prior on imaging, the diagnostic angiogram demonstrated osseous blush and hypervascularity of the lesion.

Purpose: To investigate the efficacy of a comprehensive surgical approach for rejuvenation of the aging lower periorbita.
Methods: Between February 2018 and January 2023, 80 eyes of 40 patients with lower lid dermatochalasis (LLD), lower lid laxity (LLL) or orbicularis laxity of the lower lid (OL) admitted to the oculoplastic surgery department of our clinic were included in the study. 18 eyes had LLD, 14 eyes had LLL, 18 eyes had LLD and LLL, and 30 eyes had LLD, LLL and OL.

The authors report a case of nontraumatic orbital subperiosteal hematoma after general anesthesia with patient in the prone position. The patient, who was on aspirin, clopidogrel, and subcutaneous heparin, presented immediately after sacral ulcer debridement with acute bilateral vision loss and periorbital edema. While the OD improved with conservative management, the OS continued to have 20/200 vision, decreased color vision, afferent pupillary defect, and extraocular movement limitation after lateral canthotomy and cantholysis.
