Background: We evaluated dynamic changes in F-borono-L-phenylalanine (F-BPA) uptake in unresectable, advanced, or recurrent squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCC) and malignant melanoma (MM) during boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) patient selection.
Methods: Dynamic changes in the maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax), tumor-to-normal tissue ratio (TNR), and tumor-to-blood pool ratio (TBR) for F-BPA were evaluated in 20 patients with SCC and 8 patients with MM.
Results: SUVmax in SCC tumors decreased significantly from 30 to 120 min. There was a non-statistically significant decrease in SUVmax for SCC tumors from 30 to 60 min and from 60 to 120 min. Patients with MM had nonsignificant SUVmax changes in F-BPA uptake on delayed imaging. Nonsignificant F-BPA TNR and TBR changes were seen in patients with SCC and MM.
Conclusions: Dynamic changes in SUVmax for F-BPA uptake had a washout pattern in SCC and a persistent pattern in MM. Dynamic F-BPA -PET studies should be performed to investigate the pharmacokinetics of F-BPA in humans and select appropriate candidates who may benefit from BNCT.

Aim: We investigated the short- term results of dynamic/semi-rigid stabilization in patients with cervi-cal spinal stenosis and compare them with patients for which decompression and posterior cer-vical fusion was performed.
Material And Methods: 28 patients were included in this study. Group 1 was the semi-rigid group (four male, ten fe-male), group 2 was the fusion group (nine male, five female).

Objective: Previous experiments have demonstrated that BGM0504, a GLP-1R/GIPR dual agonist drug by molecular dynamics-guided optimization, had enhanced agonistic activity compared to tirzepatide. This study aims to investigate its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) in Chinese healthy volunteers.
Methods: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled and dose-escalation Phase I study was conducted as follows: a single dose (2.

A full-scale structural search was performed using density functional theory calculations and a universal structural prediction evolutionary algorithm. This produced a lowest energy two-dimensional (2D) CoB structure. The CoB-1 global minimum structure has unusual inverse double sandwich features.

Terrestrial vegetation is a key component of the Earth system, regulating the exchange of carbon, water, and energy between land and atmosphere. Vegetation affects soil moisture dynamics by absorbing and transpiring soil water, thus modulating land-atmosphere interactions. Moreover, changes in vegetation structure (e.

Preimplantation embryonic development is orchestrated by dynamic changes in the proteome and transcriptome, regulated by mechanisms such as maternal-to-zygotic transition. Here, we employed label-free quantitative proteomics to comprehensively analyze proteome dynamics from germinal vesicle oocytes to blastocysts in mouse embryos. We identified 3490 proteins, including 715 consistently detected across all stages, revealing stage-specific changes in proteins associated with translation, protein modification, and mitochondrial metabolism.
