Background: An increasing body of evidence has linked fructose intake to colorectal cancer (CRC). African American (AA) adults consume greater quantities of fructose and are more likely to develop right-side colon cancer than European American (EA) adults.
Objective: We examined the hypothesis that fructose consumption leads to epigenomic and transcriptomic differences associated with CRC tumor biology.

The aim of our study was to assess the effects of low or high-starch diets with or without palmitic acid (C16:0) supplementation on the yield of milk, milk components, and energy partitioning of primiparous and multiparous dairy cows between mid and late-lactation. Thirty-two Holstein cows, 12 primiparous ([mean ± SD] 163 ± 33 d in milk) and 20 multiparous ([mean ± SD] 179 ± 37 d in milk), were used in a split-plot Latin square design. Parity was considered the main plot, and within each plot, treatments were then randomly assigned in a replicated 4 × 4 Latin square with 21 d periods and balanced for carryover effects.

Method: We used the Somascan assay for measuring the protein levels of 7,029 analytes in CSF of 2,286 participants from four different cohorts. We employed a three-stage analytical approach (discovery, replication, and meta-analysis).

Background: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is associated with hypoxia-induced neuronal impairment and dysfunction-key risk factors for the pathogeneses of age-related neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (AD). This study examined longitudinal associations between OSA severity and CSF biomarkers associated with AD, synaptic dysfunction, and neuroinflammation in a sample of late-middle-aged adults with increased risk for AD.
Method: N=25 cognitively unimpaired adults (64% female, mean age 65.

Background: Physical activity (PA) is associated with lower dementia risk; however, underlying molecular pathways are poorly understood. We leveraged large-scale plasma proteomics to identify biological signatures of objectively-monitored PA in cognitively unimpaired (CU) older adults and cross-validated signatures in independent exercise intervention and Alzheimer's disease (AD) cohorts.
Method: Discovery cohort included 65 CU adults (mean = 76.
