Heterotaxy syndrome is characterized by abnormal left-right arrangement of thoracoabdominal organs and is frequently associated with complex cardiac anomalies. However, cases with predominant extracardiac manifestations are increasingly recognized. This report describes a 20-year-old female of North African descent with consanguineous parentage, who presented with chronic cough and exertional dyspnea persisting over several years.

Melanonychia describes black pigmentation of the nail plate that results from either melanocyte activation (such as infections, local inflammatory disorders, local trauma affecting the nail plate, numerous systemic conditions, and medications) or melanocyte hyperplasia (such as benign neoplasms or malignant tumors) or blood (resulting from a trauma-associated subungual hematoma). The black dyschromia may include not only the nail plate but also the proximal nailfold. The Hutchinson sign refers to black discoloration of both the proximal nailfold and adjacent nail plate when the underlying pigmented lesion is a malignant melanoma.

Situs inversus totalis is a rare congenital disorder defined by the transposition of all viscera to the opposite side of the body. Because of this anatomical alteration, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) in such a population is significantly challenging. Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of lateral closing wedge osteotomy with tension-band wire fixation for correcting cubitus varus deformity in pediatric patients. The primary objective was to assess the bone union rate, functional outcomes, and potential complications associated with this surgical approach.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of 104 pediatric cases (ages 7-15) with post-traumatic cubitus varus deformity treated between January 2018 and December 2019 at the Pediatric Orthopedic Department.

Recent advances in small-joint arthroscopy and cutting-edge magnetic resonance imaging systems have enabled orthopedic surgeons to perform more complex repairs of the wrist. Such repairs can include those of the triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) of the wrist that necessitates a reappraisal of its morphometry with special emphasis on the relationship between its articular disc (AD) and surrounding tissues. The TFCC AD is a fibrocartilaginous, biconcave structure located between the ulnar styloid process and the carpal bones of the wrist.
