A Compact Broadband Common-Aperture Dual-Polarized Antenna for Drone Applications.

Micromachines (Basel)

December 2024

College of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Henan Normal University, Xinxiang 453600, China.

A novel common-aperture miniaturized antenna with wideband and dual-polarized characteristics is proposed, which consists of a circularly polarized (CP) and a linearly polarized (LP) antenna. The circularly polarized antenna stacked on the upper layer adopts asymmetrical ground and introduces the patch and T-type feed network. On this basis, the meshed reflector structure, which also works as a ground plane for the LP antenna, is added to reduce the influence on circular polarization and achieve directional radiation.

Omental patch repair is a crucial surgical procedure for managing gastrointestinal perforations, particularly those associated with peptic ulcers, necessitating a detailed review of its effectiveness and outcomes. This literature review aims to assess current knowledge on omental patch repair, focusing on advancements in surgical techniques and patient outcomes. Major medical databases, including PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, were searched for relevant studies published between 2020 and 2024, prioritizing those that explored omental patch repair, surgical methods, and associated clinical outcomes.

Noise-induced hearing loss is one of the most common forms of hearing loss in adults and also one of the most common occupational diseases. Extensive previous work has shown that the highly sensitive synapses of the inner hair cells (IHCs) may be the first target for irreparable damage and permanent loss in the noise-exposed cochlea, more precisely in the cochlear base. However, how such synaptic loss affects the synaptic physiology of the IHCs in this particularly vulnerable part of the cochlea has not yet been investigated.

Rare but important gastrointestinal complications after laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair: a single-center experience.

Sci Rep

January 2025

Shanxi Bethune Hospital, Shanxi Academy of Medical Sciences, Third Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, Tongji Shanxi Hospital, No. 99, Longcheng Street, Xiaodian District, Taiyuan, 030032, Shanxi Province, China.

Transabdominal preperitoneal patch plasty (TAPP) versus total extraperitoneal patch plasty (TEP) are surgical techniques commonly used to treat inguinal hernia. However, studies indicate that both procedures may lead to significant complications, particularly gastrointestinal complications, some of which can be life-threatening. We statistically analyzed the complications caused by adult inguinal hernia patients admitted from 2018 to 2022.
