The biodistribution of dendronized iron oxides, NPs10@D1_DOTAGA and melanin-targeting NPs10@D1_ICF_DOTAGA, was studied in vivo using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and planar scintigraphy through [Lu]Lu-radiolabeling. MRI experiments showed high contrast power of both dendronized nanoparticles (DPs) and hepatobiliary and urinary excretions. Little tumor uptake could be highlighted after intravenous injection probably as a consequence of the negatively charged DOTAGA-derivatized shell, which reduces the diffusion across the cells' membrane. Planar scintigraphy images demonstrated a moderate specific tumor uptake of melanoma-targeted [Lu]Lu-NPs10@D1_ICF_DOTAGA at 2 h post-intravenous injection (pi), and the highest tumor uptake of the control probe [Lu]Lu-NPs10@D1_DOTAGA at 30 min pi, probably due to the enhanced permeability and retention effect. In addition, ex vivo confocal microscopy studies showed a high specific targeting of human melanoma samples impregnated with NPs10@D1_ICF_Alexa647_ DOTAGA.

Purpose: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Oxaliplatin (OXA) is currently the primary chemotherapeutic agent for CRC, but its efficacy is limited by the tumor microenvironment (TME). Here, we present a combined approach of chemotherapy and TME modulation for CRC treatment.

Objective: The appropriate clinical management of indeterminate small renal masses can be improved based on accurate risk stratification. This study aimed to investigate the impact of renal function on the uptake of technetium-99m (99mTc)-sestamibi, a widely available imaging agent that can be utilized to identify oncocytomas and other benign/indolent renal masses.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted, involving 100 consecutive patients who underwent 99mTc-sestamibi single-photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography.
Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and a sizable fraction of the DLBCL patients presents with advanced, relapsed, and refractory disease, demonstrating poor response to standard chemotherapy regimens. Radioimmunotherapy (RIT) has shown to be clinically effective in refractory DLBCL. We present the case of a patient with DLBCL with [18F]FDG-avid widespread skeletal as well as splenic involvement as poor prognostic extranodal disease on FDG PET/CT.

Background: Sorafenib, an FDA-approved drug for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), faces resistance issues, partly due to myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) that enhance immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment (TME).
Methods: Various murine HCC cell lines and MDSCs were used in a series of in vitro and in vivo experiments. These included subcutaneous tumor models, cell viability assays, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and RNA sequencing.

Background: Quantitative molecular imaging via single-photon emission computed tomography-derived standardised uptake value (SPECT/CT-SUV) is used to assess the response of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) patients to targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) with [Lu]Lu-PSMA. This imaging technique determines the radiopharmaceutical distribution and internal dosimetry in patients who receive TRT. However, there is limited evidence regarding the role of image quantification in monitoring changes induced by [Lu]Lu-PSMA.
