Atypical C2 fractures refer to all fracture types of the C2 body excluding odontoid fractures and traumatic spondylolisthesis of C2. A 55-year-old male patient presented with neck pain after a vehicular accident. Computed tomography (CT) showed an oblique fracture line of the C2 vertebral body through the pedicle and lamina with fracture gap and posterior displacement. We used a clenching reduction technique to treat this fracture by using an ipsilateral laminar screw and contralateral pedicle screw. The final follow-up CT scan showed complete bone union. Neck motion was preserved including rotation. For this unstable atypical C2 fracture, the clenching reduction technique proved to be a safe and effective technique while salvaging neck motion.

Background: Patients are increasingly turning to Internet platforms for health-related information. An example is YouTube, one of the largest media-sharing networks in the world.
Objectives: The aim of the present study was to assess the informational value of YouTube videos on the treatment of bruxism with botulinum toxin, a procedure that is becoming increasingly popular in the field of dentistry.
Background: The objective of this study is to assess the relationship between bruxism and the use of Invisalign® transparent aligners, and to determine if they increase or decrease the action of bruxing with its signs and symptoms.
Material And Methods: A sample of 100 adult patients undergoing orthodontic treatment with transparent Invisalign® aligners was studied, analyzing signs and symptoms of bruxism by personal survey together with a clinical examination on 3 occasions: Pre-treatment, at 3 months of treatment and at 6 months of treatment.
Results: There is a statistically significant difference between the amount of bruxism and the use of Invisalign® type aligners, for all the variables analyzed except in the analysis of the increase in headaches.

Objective: Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) comprises several musculoskeletal conditions in the orofacial region, with chronic pain and/or dysfunction involving the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and masticatory muscles. This study assessed the clinical characteristics of patients with TMD treated at a public tertiary care facility in Brazil.
Methods: In this retrospective study, we assessed data from adult patients attending the Center for Occlusion, TMD, and Orofacial Pain at a Brazilian school of dentistry, from 2000 to 2020.
