A 7-y-old Black Russian Terrier dog was evaluated for chronic lameness of the right forelimb and concurrent weight loss. Clinical examination revealed a pigmented mass arising from digit 4 of the right forelimb; the digit was amputated and submitted for histologic evaluation. Histologically, the neoplasm was composed of ill-defined streams, sheets, and clusters of melanocytes admixed with a distinct population of malignant epithelial cells forming glands and nests. The diagnosis was a biphasic malignant melanoma adenocarcinoma, a rarely reported neoplasm in human medicine that has not been described in veterinary medicine, to our knowledge.

However, concerns regarding limited evidence persist.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 83 patients with previously treated, unresectable, advanced, or recurrent malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) treated with nivolumab from August 2018 to May 2022.

Background: Sarcomatoid carcinoma of the small bowel is an exceedingly rare gastrointestinal tumor characterized by a biphasic cellular pattern of epithelioid and mesenchymal-like cells. Due to its rarity and non-specific clinical presentation, it is frequently misdiagnosed, and there is a lack of standardized management guidelines. We report a case of multiple sarcomatoid carcinoma of the small intestine, presenting initially with gastrointestinal perforation.

Background: Somatostatin receptors (SSTRs) are expressed in most neuroendocrine neoplasms, particularly in gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumours, and have been utilised as diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets. The radioiodinated somatostatin analogue 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid- Tyr3-octreotate (DOTATATE) has been employed for SSTR targeting for either diagnostic or therapeutic purposes depending on the labelling with Gallium or Lutetium, respectively. SSTR expression is reported in a subset of breast adenocarcinoma and breast neuroendocrine carcinomas; however, minimal knowledge exists regarding their expression in fibroepithelial (biphasic) breast lesions such as fibroadenoma and phyllodes tumours.
