The photoredox cross-coupling of aryl halides and potassium alkyl trifluoroborates is a very effective means to form Csp-Csp bonds. However, this transformation is inefficient for the coupling of unactivated primary trifluoroborates. We have developed a generally useful, continuous flow Csp-Csp coupling procedure for the synthesis of diverse product sets that is compatible with both trifluoroborates and silicate reagents. This universal protocol provides diversity sets from both primary and secondary coupling partners. This easily scalable procedure widens the substrate scope of the coupling reaction and is efficient for producing a greater range of analogues bearing a high sp fraction.

Background: Gastrointestinal diseases in weaned piglets are a frequent cause of high morbidity and mortality in domestic pigs. The use of antibiotics is problematic due to increasing antibiotic resistance in bacterial populations, for which reason the use of suitable probiotics is highly recommended to maintain animal health and welfare.

Results: In this study, 57 strains of biologically safe lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and bifidobacteria originating from the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) of pigs were identified and characterized in terms of their probiotic properties for potential use in weaned piglets.

The accurate identification of protein-nucleotide binding residues is crucial for protein function annotation and drug discovery. Numerous computational methods have been proposed to predict these binding residues, achieving remarkable performance. However, due to the limited availability and high variability of nucleotides, predicting binding residues for diverse nucleotides remains a significant challenge.

Background: The simplicity of synthesis methods has facilitated the illegal manufacture of various fentanyl analogs, leading to numerous fatal overdoses worldwide, particularly in North America. Fentanyl analogs with similar structures are difficult to distinguish due to their fragmentation patterns, making separation using chromatography essential. Additionally, because fentanyl analogs are lethal even in trace amounts, they are easily smuggled, and commonly used fentanyl test strips often fail to detect them due to their low sensitivity.

This study investigates the perceptions of university students majoring in film and media production (FMP) regarding the over-the-top (OTT) industry. We used the Q methodology to achieve this study's purpose, with 33 Q sets and 22 university students majoring in FMP. The study revealed three perception structures of FMP major university students regarding the OTT industry.

Background: Imaging and plasma biomarkers are widely used in Alzheimer's disease (AD) observational studies and clinical trials. Due to the lack of racial or ethnic diversity in earlier studies, a more complete understanding of biomarker differences across racialized groups is needed. Further, results from the few previous studies have disagreed on both the magnitude and direction of AD biomarker differences in racialized groups.
