Objective: We examined the clinical characteristics and obstetric outcomes in adolescent pregnancies in Japanese women.
Methods: The present study was a retrospective investigation of all primiparous Japanese women with singleton pregnancies who gave birth at ≥22 weeks' gestation aged ≤18 years old (adolescent pregnancy, n = 325) and aged 28-30 years old (n = 2029) at Japanese Red Cross, Katsushika Maternity Hospital between 2002 and 2016.
Results: The frequencies of smoking, economic problems, an unmarried single status at delivery and the start of prenatal care in the first trimester in the adolescent pregnancy group were significantly higher than in the control group (p < .01). The incidences of Chlamydia trachomatis, Condyloma acuminatum, and mental disorders in the adolescent pregnancy group were significantly higher than in the control group (p < .01). Pregnancy in adolescence was not related to adverse obstetric outcomes except preterm delivery (p = .02).
Conclusions: Adolescent pregnancy was not associated with adverse obstetric outcomes; however, adequate social, economic, and mental support is needed for adolescent pregnant women.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate whether the digital eye strain (DES) was associated with the low central corneal thickness (CCT).
Methods: This observational cross-sectional pilot study was conducted from April 2023 to October 2023 at a tertiary eye care centre in North India, where CCT values were compared between subjects with DES and those without DES. Two hundred and eighty subjects (n = 280) aged 15-40 years with clear corneas and lenses were initially included in this study.
Objectives: To determine (1) which maternal and area characteristics are associated with reaching fidelity targets (the expected number of visits mothers should receive at each stage of the programme) in the Family-Nurse Partnership (FNP), and (2) whether achieving these fidelity targets affects outcomes.
Design, Setting And Population: Cohort study of mothers enrolled in the FNP, aged 13-19 years, giving birth between April 2010 and January 2018 in England. Mothers were linked to their Hospital Episode Statistics and National Pupil Database records.

We investigated the timely initiation of antenatal care among Brazilian adolescents to support the national discussion on the gestational age limit for legal abortion. Using data from the Live Births Information System (SINASC) 2020-2022, we correlated the timely antenatal care (first quarter of pregnancy) with the adolescent's age, region, ethnicity/skin color, and schooling level; 11,607 annual births result from vulnerable rape. The timely initiation of antenatal care was 70.

Background: Utilization of maternal health care services, specifically, antenatal care services from skilled health providers have been given utmost priority in low- and middle-income countries over years with a view of mitigating complications during pregnancy as well as safeguarding the health and survival of both mother and newborn. However, there is a general tendency of pregnant mothers in Bangladesh of receiving skilled antenatal care (SANC) service once, or even never which refrains us to ensure World Health Organization (WHO) recommended eight plus SANC visits, additionally, to meet Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number three.
Objectives: The study aims at assessing how the average number of SANC visits taken by the reproductive women in Bangladesh changes over the time in rural and urban areas together with finding out the potential demographic and socio-economic factors associated with SANC visits by addressing possible accumulation of zero and one counts in SANC visits.
