Paragangliomas are rare neuroendocrine tumors originating from the paraganglia. They are mostly benign, slow-growing, and non-secretory. This report describes a rare case of a catecholamine-secreting paraganglioma located in the pterygopalatine fossa.

The contralateral transmaxillary corridor improves access to anterior petrous apex lesions back to the level of the internal auditory canal without the need to mobilize the paraclival internal carotid artery. In this Video 1, we present the case of 31-year-old female patient who presented with new left abducens palsy during pregnancy. Imaging revealed a heterogeneous enhancing extradural mass within the left petrous apex region extending posterior to the horizontal segment of the petrous internal carotid artery, consistent with chondrosarcoma.

A 14-y-old intact female llama () was presented for evaluation of a right maxillary swelling of 3-mo duration. Clinically, the animal had mild nasal discharge, abnormal retropulsion of the right eye, and moderate gingival disease. An incisional biopsy of the maxillary mass revealed pleomorphic and mitotically active neoplastic spindle-to-stellate cells organized in haphazard lacunae embedded in abundant chondroid matrix.

Chondrosarcomas are slow-growing malignant tumors that originate in cartilaginous structures. They typically manifest in the head and neck region, with a preference for the maxillofacial skeleton, particularly the mandible and maxilla. However, chondrosarcoma of the sinonasal tract is exceptionally rare, and only few cases have been reported.
