Background/aim: Adenocarcinoma is one of the most common malignant tumors of the small intestine complicating Crohn's disease. However, the coexistence of both conditions with diverticulosis of small bowel in young age makes this coincidence rare and clinical diagnosis very difficult.
Case Report: We report a case of a woman admitted to our Department with acute abdominal pain and fever. The surgical and histological investigation, revealed a rare coexistence that has never been mentioned in the published medical literature.
Conclusion: Ileal diverticulosis is not frequent and often asymptomatic as well as adenocarcinoma of the small bowel. In this case, those diseases along with Crohn's disease led the patient to acute symptoms.
