Background: Strain Cyp38S was isolated as an endophyte from the plant Cyperus alternifolius, collected along the banks of the River Nile in 2019. Preliminary analysis tentatively identified Cyp38S as belonging to the genus Pseudocitrobacter.

Methods: The preliminary identification of Cyp38S was performed using the VITEK2 identification system, MALDI-TOF-MS, and 16S rRNA gene sequencing.

Non-carbapenem-producing carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa in children: Risk factors, molecular epidemiology, and resistance mechanism.

J Infect Public Health

December 2024

Department of Nosocomial Infection Control, The Clinical Laboratory, Clinical Microbiology Laboratory, Children's Hospital of Fudan University, National Children's Medical Center, Shanghai, China. Electronic address:

Background: The investigation into risk factors, molecular epidemiology, and resistance mechanisms of carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (CRPA) in pediatric populations in China is currently inadequate.

Methods: To assess epidemiology, molecular characteristics, and resistance mechanisms, virulence-associated genes were analyzed, alongside multi locus sequence typing (MLST), PCR, and qRT-PCR.

Finding: Multivariate analysis identified prolonged hospitalization (OR: 1.

Herpes zoster after left nephroureterectomy for renal carcinoma: a case report.

BMC Infect Dis

January 2025

Department of Endocrinology, Guang'anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Beijing, China.

Background: Diabetes and malignant tumors often lead to abnormal immune function, increasing susceptibility to herpes zoster and severe post-herpetic neuralgia. Renal insufficiency following renal cell carcinoma surgery can be compounded by treatment with nephrotoxic antiviral drugs. There have also been case reports of herpes zoster occurring at the surgical site.

January 2025

The National Center for Precision Machining and Safety of Livestock and Poultry Products Joint Engineering Research Center, College of Food Science, South China Agricultural University, 510642, China; Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Food Quality and Safety, College of Food Science, South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou 510642, China. Electronic address:

Cantonese sausages are susceptible to oxidative deterioration during storage. Compared with synthetic antioxidants, dihydromyricetin (DMY) is a natural active substance with various functions such as antioxidant and antimicrobial. In this study, edible coating solutions loaded with DMY were prepared based on chitosan (CS) and pullulan (PUL) to prolong the shelf-life of Cantonese sausages.
