The quest for highly efficient electrocatalysts for direct urea fuel cells (DUFCs) is vital in addressing the energy deficits and environmental crisis. Ni-based LDHs are widely known for their substantial capability in urea oxidation reactions (UOR). This study involved the synthesis of NiCr-LDH/VC MXene nanocomposites (NCVs) and the evaluation of their electrochemical efficiency towards UOR.

Amidst the escalating global energy crisis, the quest for efficient electrocatalysts for water splitting has become increasingly imperative. Herein, we develop a bifunctional electrocatalyst comprising RuNi alloy nanoparticles anchored on fluorine-doped NiMoO nanorods (RuNi-F-NiMoO), engineered for efficient hydrogen production from seawater and urea oxidation reactions. The strategic F doping effectively reduces the difference in work functions and modulates the electronic interactions between the RuNi alloy and the NiMoO substrate, enhancing electron transfer kinetics and significantly improving electrocatalytic activity and stability.

The quest for sustainable photocatalytic CO reduction reactions (CRR) emphasizes the development of high-efficiency, economically viable, and durable photocatalysts. A novel approach involving the synthesis of Bi-CDs/LDH heterojunctions, incorporating plasma metals and carbon quantum dots via hydrothermal and co-precipitation methods, yields remarkable results. The optimized BCL-4 photocatalyst demonstrates exceptional performance, with CH and CH yields of 1.

Background: Peritoneal metastasis with micrometastatic cell clusters is a common feature of advanced ovarian cancer. Targeted alpha therapy (TAT) is an attractive approach for treating micrometastatic diseases as alpha particles release enormous amounts of energy within a short distance. A pretargeting approach - leveraging the inverse-electron-demand Diels-Alder reaction between tetrazines (Tz) and trans-cyclooctene (TCO) - can minimize off-target toxicity related to TAT, often associated with full-length antibodies.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a leading and increasing contributor to cancer-related death worldwide. Recent advancements in both liver-directed therapies in the form of Y-90 radioembolization (Y-90-RE) and systemic therapy in the form of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) have expanded treatment options for patients with an otherwise poor prognosis. Despite these gains, ICIs and Y-90-RE each have key limitations with low objective response rates and persistent hazard of out-of-field recurrence, respectively, and overall survival remains low.
