The nurse coach role was developed to address the needs of our nation and the world for health and wellbeing. The Theory of Integrative Nurse Coaching provides a foundation for coaching interventions supporting health promotion, and a framework for the development of the Integrative Health and Wellness Assessment (IHWA) short form. This 36-question Likert-type scale self-reporting tool assists participants in assessing healthy behaviors through a self-reflection process, provides information for the coaching relationship, and may be an outcome measurement. This article describes the history of the IHWA tool and the development and pilot testing of the IHWA short form using guidelines provided by DeVellis. Results of the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test yielded a value of .520, and the Bartlett's test of sphericity was significant. Cronbach's alpha overall scale internal consistency was .88 ( n = 36). Pilot study results indicate that the scale could be improved through additional revision, and an ongoing study is in progress.

Background And Aims: Alcohol-related liver disease (ALD) is one of the leading causes of severe liver disease with limited pharmacological treatments for alcohol-related steatohepatitis (ASH). CD44, a glycoprotein mainly expressed in immune cells, has been implicated in multiple inflammatory diseases but has never been studied in the ALD context. We therefore studied its contribution to ASH development in mice and its expression in ALD patients.

Myelodysplastic syndromes/neoplasms (MDS) are a widely heterogenous group of myeloid malignancies characterized by morphologic dysplasia, a defective hematopoiesis, and recurrent genetic abnormalities. The original and revised International Prognostic Scoring Systems (IPSS) have been used to risk-stratify patients with MDS to guide treatment strategies. In higher-risk MDS, the therapeutic approach is geared toward delaying leukemic transformation and prolonging survival.

Background: To successfully design, develop, implement, and deliver digital health services that provide value, they should be cocreated with patients. However, occasionally, the value may also be codestructed. In the field of health care, the concepts of value cocreation and codestruction still need to be better established within emerging digital health services.

Purpose: Early interdisciplinary supportive care (ESC), including psychological interventions, can improve the survival of patients with metastatic esophagogastric cancer (EGC). The purpose of the study was to evaluate the association between psychological factors and survival in patients with metastatic EGC.
Methods: A secondary analysis was conducted for an open-label randomized controlled trial of ESC, in which 246 patients with EGC completed a distress measure (the distress thermometer) and a depression symptom measure (the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 [PHQ-9]) at baseline before cancer treatments.

Diabetic wound healing remains a major challenge in modern medicine. The persistent inflammation and immune dysfunction hinder angiogenesis by producing excessive ROS and increasing the susceptibility to bacterial infection. In this study, we developed an integrated strategy for whole-process management of diabetic wounds based on a bioinspired adhesive hydrogel platform with hemostasis, photothermal antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and angiogenic properties.
