The Nr4a nuclear hormone receptors are transcriptionally upregulated in response to antigen recognition by the T cell receptor (TCR) in the thymus and are implicated in clonal deletion, but the mechanisms by which they operate are not clear. Moreover, their role in central tolerance is obscured by redundancy among the Nr4a family members and by their reported functions in Treg generation and maintenance. Here we take advantage of competitive bone marrow chimeras and the OT-II/RIPmOVA model to show that Nr4a1 and Nr4a3 are essential for the upregulation of Bcl2l11/BIM and thymic clonal deletion by self-antigen.

Differences in habitat use impose ecological constraints which in turn lead to functional and morphological differences through adaptation. In fact, a convergent evolutionary pattern is evident when species exhibit similar responses to similar environments. In this study we examine how habitat use influences the evolution of body shape in lizards from the family Lacertidae.

Objective: To provide insights from patients and clinicians regarding the benefits and barriers of the introduction of a telerehabilitation fitness program into the oncologic care of people with late-stage cancer.
Design: This study is a qualitative assessment of the COllaborative Care to Preserve PErformance in Cancer trial, which involved the insertion of a telerehabilitation fitness program into the oncologic care of patients with late-stage cancer.
Setting: A large midwestern medical center.

Nystagmus has various clinical manifestations, including downbeat, upbeat, and torsional types, each associated with distinct neurologic features. Current rehabilitative interventions focusing on fixation training and optical correction often fail to achieve complete resolution. When nystagmus coexists with fragile X-associated tremor/ataxia syndrome (FXTAS), functional impairments worsen, particularly affecting balance.

BACKGROUND The VICON Toolkit enables three-dimensional (3D) motion capture for gait analysis. Statistical parametric mapping (SPM) is a voxel-based neuroimaging approach used to identify region-specific effects. This study aimed to apply SPM to analyze the joint angles of the hip, knee, and ankle during gait in 20 post-stroke patients using the VICON motion capture system.
