Prenatal exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) has been linked to adverse fetal growth and development. However, most evidence was generated based on the singleton pregnancy studies, whereas potential impact on twin fetuses remains largely unknown. This study aimed to explore the associations of prenatal PFAS exposure with the growth and developmental differences within twin pairs by investigating 162 twin newborns and their mothers and determining 19 PFASs in maternal serum during the first, second, and third trimesters and cord serum of twins.

Objectives: Patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) have an increased risk of severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as well as impaired responses to COVID-19 vaccination, which may be overcome by repeated booster vaccinations. Our objective was to explore the uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine in this population since records of this are scarce.

Methods: In this nationwide cohort study, we used multiple population-based health and sociodemographic registries to study COVID-19 vaccine uptake in individuals with CLL in Sweden, from 27 December 2020 to 28 February 2023.

This study investigates whether placental characteristics act as moderators or mediators in the association between prenatal exposure to particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen dioxide (NO) and birth weight in twins. Macrosomia poses significant health risks to mother and fetuses, yet the protective sensitive window for the effects of green space resources on the risk of macrosomia remains unexplored. This study identified sensitive windows of green space exposure and examined the interactions with air pollutants. In a study of 221,380 full-term newborns delivered at the Hospital, from 2017 to 2021, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and atmospheric pollutant concentrations were matched to participants based on their residences in the Ningxia region.
