Introduction: Intertrochanteric fracture comprises nearly half of hip fractures occurring in elderly individuals with osteoporosis. Considering the age group of its population, they are often associated with multiple comorbidities which warrant optimum management with less surgical.

Case Report: This article reports the case of 56-year-old women with in tertrochanteric fracture associated with the cardiac complication restricting operating duration. Minimal invasive dynamic hip screw (MIDHS) fixation technique with modified instruments was performed which facilitated minimizing the operating time and intraoperative blood loss.

Conclusion: MIDHS fixation is an important technique for providing the necessary fixation minimizing soft tissue dissection, operating time, intraoperative blood loss and surgical expense without compromising fixation stability, and rehabilitation protocol.

Objective: Reverse obliquity intertrochanteric fracture is an unstable type of fracture. Current guidelines recommend intramedullary fixation, but there are still complications such as screw removal, hip varus, nail withdrawal, and nail fracture. The objective of this study was to use finite element analysis to compare the biomechanical properties of the novel proximal femoral bionic nail (PFBN), proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA), and combined compression interlocking intramedullary nail (InterTan) in the treatment of reverse obliquity intertrochanteric fractures (AO/OTA 31-A3.

Introduction: Optimizing treatment strategies in polytrauma patients is a key focus in trauma research and timing of major fracture care remains one of the most actively discussed topics. Besides physiologic factors, associated injuries, and injury patterns also require consideration. For instance, the exact impact and relevance of traumatic brain injury on the timing of fracture care have not yet been fully investigated.

First metatarsophalangeal joint (MTPJ) fusion an effective surgical intervention for conditions such as hallux valgus and hallux rigidus. This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to compare safety and efficacy of crossed screws versus plating supplemented with an interfragmentary screw. A literature search of the Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, and MEDLINE databases was performed to identify all studies directly comparing the two techniques.

Introduction: External fixators are utilized to temporarily stabilize bicondylar tibial plateau fractures. They can be prepped during definitive surgery to help maintain fracture length and alignment. However, there is a potential for increased infection by leaving the external fixator on during the surgery.
