Due to the nonlinear interaction between different flow patterns, for instance, ocean current, meso-scale eddies, waves, etc, the movement of ocean is extremely complex, where a multiscale statistics is then relevant. In this work, a high time-resolution velocity with a time step 15 minutes obtained by the Lagrangian drifter deployed in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM) from July 2012 to October 2012 is considered. The measured Lagrangian velocity correlation function shows a strong daily cycle due to the diurnal tidal cycle. The estimated Fourier power spectrum E(f) implies a dual-power-law behavior which is separated by the daily cycle. The corresponding scaling exponents are close to -1.75 and -2.75 respectively for the time scale larger (resp. 0.1 ≤ f ≤ 0.4 day) and smaller (resp. 2 ≤ f ≤ 8 day) than 1 day. A Hilbert-based approach is then applied to this data set to identify the possible multifractal property of the cascade process. The results show an intermittent dynamics for the time scale larger than 1 day, while a less intermittent dynamics for the time scale smaller than 1 day. It is speculated that the energy is partially injected via the diurnal tidal movement and then transferred to larger and small scales through a complex cascade process, which needs more studies in the near future.

Importance: Trials have not demonstrated superiority of alteplase or tenecteplase vs standard care in patients with mild stroke and have raised safety concerns. Prourokinase is an alternative fibrinolytic that may have a favorable safety profile, and the benefit-risk profile of prourokinase in mild stroke is unknown.
Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of prourokinase in mild ischemic stroke within 4.

Introduction: In current and anticipated future conflicts, including large-scale combat operations, medical teams are tasked to provide prolonged casualty care (PCC) or extended patient care that occurs when delays in evacuation exceed the team's capabilities. Although the principles of PCC are often taught to military medical providers using simulation, educators rarely dedicate the time to training required to simulate the prolonged nature of these encounters. Therefore, a lack of knowledge exists regarding which aspects of extended care may be lost in an accelerated training scenario.

Purpose: To evaluate the prognostic value of interim [F]Fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography ([F]FDG PET/CT) after immunotherapy-based systemic therapies in extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTL).
Patients And Methods: We retrospectively recruited 133 newly diagnosed nasal-type ENKTL patients who underwent interim [F]FDG PET/CT scans after 2-4 cycles of immunotherapy-based treatments. Interim PET/CT was interpreted by maximum standardized uptake value (SUV), Deauville 5-point scale (DS), and early treatment response.

Background: Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) has emerged as a critical intervention in the management of patients with trauma-induced cardiorespiratory failure. This study aims to compare outcomes in patients with severe thoracic injuries with and without venovenous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VV-ECMO).
Methods: We performed a retrospective cohort study on Trauma Quality Improvement Program (2017-2021) and included all patients with isolated blunt thoracic injuries with Abbreviated Injury Scale score of ≥4 who required intubation.
