Mild hypophosphatasia (HPP) can be difficult to distinguish from other bone disorders in the absence of typical symptoms such as the premature loss of primary teeth. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the crystallinity of hydroxyapatite (HAp) and the three-dimensional structure of collagen in HPP teeth at the molecular level and to search for new biomarkers of HPP. Raman spectroscopy was used to investigate the molecular structure, composition, and mechanical properties of primary teeth from healthy individuals and patients with HPP.

(1) Background: Alkasite is a novel restorative material that has attracted interest in recent years because of its distinctive characteristics, including its high translucency and excellent biocompatibility. It is comparable to glass ionomer cement (GIC) and resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) due to its fluoride-release ability and usage in esthetically concerned areas. This study aimed to assess the shear bond strength (SBS) of Alkasite restorative material in comparison with GIC and RMGIC (2) Methods: The study sample included 120 extracted sound primary molars and was randomly split into three groups, including group 1: RMGIC; group 2: Alkasite; and group 3: GIC.

In-office teeth bleaching is an esthetic dental procedure performed to whiten teeth. A desensitizing procedure often requires prior in-office bleaching to relieve tooth hypersensitivity. The objective of this study was to evaluate the bleaching efficiency of teeth specimens pre-treated with different desensitizing agents by analyzing the color parameters.

A novel water-soluble root canal filling material based on sodium iodide (NaI) has been developed to overcome the limitations of existing iodine-based formulations. However, the biological stability of this approach in animal studies remains unverified. This study evaluated the biocompatibility of NaI compared to commercial root canal filling materials (Calcipex II and Vitapex) in pulpectomized canine teeth to assess its clinical applicability.

This study aimed to evaluate the change in enamel color and surface micro-hardness following the use of resin-infiltration concept material (ICON) and casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium fluoride phosphate (CPP-ACFP) remineralizing agent. Fifty-four extracted human third molars were collected and randomly divided into three groups: group A: control with no surface treatment; group B: treated using ICON; and group C: treated using CPP-ACFP. The change in color and micro-hardness of the enamel surface were measured using spectrophotometer and Vickers hardness number, respectively.
