Increased screen time (ST) among preschool children is becoming a matter of concern globally. Although gadgets such as phones, tablets and computers might be of educational use in this population, excessive ST might impair cognitive function among preschoolers. As data on this topic in preschool children are scarce, this study sought to investigate the relationship between ST and executive functions (EFs) in this population.

This systematic review aims to precisely explore the associations between meeting different combinations of guidelines and the aforementioned indicators, in order to better serve public health policy.

To explore the effect of time exposure to flat screen electronic devices with LED lighting and the Mediterranean diet on macular pigment optical density (MPOD). In this cross-sectional observational study, the MPOD was measured by heterochromatic flicker photometry in 164 eyes (47 of younger women aged 20-31 and 35 of older women aged 42-70). Exclusion criteria: evidence of macular degeneration and eyes with cataracts.

Purpose: Our study presents a virtual reality-based tangent screen test (VTS) to measure subjective ocular deviations including torsion in nine directions of gaze. The test was compared to the analogous Harms tangent screen test (HTS).
Methods: We used an Oculus Go controller and head-mounted-display with rotation sensors to measure patient's head orientation for the VTS.

Social media have drastically changed the context of adolescent development. To date, the majority of research investigating the effects of these changes has measured time spent on social media, yielding inconclusive results-likely because this approach conceptualizes social media as a monolith. Social media experiences are complex and diverse, as are adolescents themselves.
