Purpose: To evaluate Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) for failed endothelial keratoplasty (EK).
Methods: We reviewed 362 consecutive DMEK cases for failed EK (Descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK) or DMEK), 118 for early EK failure, and 244 for late failure in 333 eyes of 323 patients without penetrating keratoplasty. Rejection and graft survival rates were assessed with Kaplan-Meier analysis.

: Glaucomatous neuropathy, a progressive deterioration of retinal ganglion cells, is the leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide. While elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) is a well-established modifiable risk factor, increasing attention is being directed towards IOP-independent factors, such as vascular alterations. Color Doppler imaging (CDI) is a prominent technique for investigating blood flow parameters in extraocular vessels.

Glaucoma drainage devices (GDD) are used for patients with secondary glaucoma, such as uveitic or neovascular glaucoma, which is uncontrolled under local therapy. They are also used in patients with conjunctival scarring, for example after a previous vitrectomy or after unsuccessful previous glaucoma surgery, such as trabeculectomy. They are also a treatment option for congenital glaucoma, aphakic glaucoma or for the treatment of iridocorneoendothelial syndromes.
