Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, and the lack of effective biomarkers for early detection leads to poor therapeutic outcomes. Prostaglandin E Synthase 3 (PTGES3) is a putative prognostic marker in many solid tumors; however, its expression and biological functions in HCC have not been determined. The proteolysis-targeting chimera (PROTAC) is an established technology for targeted protein degradation.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of a triple therapy consisting of colchicine, thalidomide and total glucosides of paeony (TGP) in Behcet's disease (BD) patients with mucocutaneous involvement.
Methods: Totally 355 newly diagnosed BD patients with mucocutaneous involvement were recruited, who received dexamethasone and colchicine for the first 2 weeks, then they were categorized into "sustained triple-therapy (ST)" (n = 231) and "colchicine to triple-therapy (CT)" (n = 124) groups respectively: for ST group, patients received colchicine, thalidomide plus TGP from Month (M)0.5 to M12; for CT group, patients received colchicine from M0.

Introduction: Alopecia areata (AA) is a chronic, immune-mediated inflammatory disorder characterized by nonscarring hair loss. The management of AA poses challenges due to its unpredictable course and variable response to treatment. In this comparative study, we evaluated the efficacy and safety of oral apremilast, intralesional corticosteroids (ILC) and a combination of both in patients with patchy AA.

Objective: In this study, we evaluated the effectiveness and safety of thalidomide by clinically observing 48 individuals with β-thalassemia who have been administered thalidomide in small and medium doses over a period of two years.
Methods: Thalidomide's efficacy was gauged by tracking hemoglobin (Hb) level alterations post its administration. Liver and kidney function impact was measured through tests for alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, blood urea nitrogen, and creatinine.

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is an autoinflammatory condition characterized by abscesses, inflammatory nodules, and tunnels in intertriginous sites of the body. The pathogenesis of HS involves follicular occlusion in combination with environmental, genetic, hormonal, and metabolic factors. HS lesions are characterized by an influx of neutrophils, histiocytes, B and T cells, and upregulation of proinflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin-1, interleukin-17, and interferons.
