Craniofacial syndromes present with exorbitism and airway obstruction as a result of upper and middle facial hypoplasia. Classical subcranial Lefort III (LF III) or monobloc distraction osteogenesis (DO) using an external craniofacial device is used to treat these deformities. These procedures are done during mixed dentition, in most cases, advancing an abnormal face, to a more normal position.

Acute liver failure (ALF) is characterized by rapid hepatic dysfunction, primarily caused by drug-induced hepatotoxicity. Due to the lack of satisfactory treatment options, ALF remains a fatal clinical disease, representing a grand challenge in global health. For the drug repositioning to ALF of mesalamine, which is clinically approved for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), we propose a supramolecular prodrug nanoassembly (SPNs).

Background: Glioblastoma (GBM) is a rare brain cancer with an exceptionally high mortality rate, which illustrates the pressing demand for more effective therapeutic options. Despite considerable research efforts on GBM, its underlying biological mechanisms remain unclear. Furthermore, none of the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved drugs used for GBM deliver satisfactory survival improvement.

The surge in deformational head shapes (DHSs) over the past 30 years has led to increased interest in comparing the treatment options of Repositioning Therapy (RT) and a Cranial Remolding Orthosis (CRO). This study investigates the amount and rate of 2D and 3D correction in infants with DHSs during these treatments. A total of 34 infants with DHSs were enrolled (RT group, = 18; CRO group, = 16).
