Gripping slippery and flexible tissues during minimal invasive surgery (MIS) is often challenging using a conventional tissue gripper. A force grip has to compensate for the low friction coefficient between the gripper's jaws and the tissue surface. This study focuses on the development of a suction gripper.

Backgrounds: Dyslipidemia is a prominent risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and one of the primary independent modifiable factors of diabetes and stroke. Statins can significantly improve the prognosis of dyslipidemia, but its side effects cannot be ignored. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been used in clinical practice for more than 2000 years in China and has certain traits in treating dyslipidemia with little side effect.

Background: China has become the country with the largest number of people with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and Chinese medicine (CM) has unique advantages in preventing and treating T2DM, while accurate pattern differentiation is the guarantee for proper treatment.
Objective: The establishment of the CM pattern differentiation model of T2DM is helpful to the pattern diagnosis of the disease. At present, there are few studies on dampness-heat pattern differentiation models of T2DM.
