We examined the use of shared medical appointments (SMA) for educating and counseling children with penile problems. Forty-eight families were seen over 4 months with 21 participating in the SMA group and 27 in the traditional group. Using a questionnaire to assess adequacy of education, there was no difference in the overall scores between groups with a mean of 6.64/7 in the SMA and 6.56/7 in the traditional setting. With the increasing demands on providers, an SMA offers a solution to caring for more patients with penile problems in an efficient manner without impacting family education and satisfaction.

Introduction: Hypospadias reconstruction seeks to correct structural problems associated with this congenital condition to improve patient quality-of-life (QoL) and overall well-being. While corrective surgery can lead to major functional and psychosocial improvements, some patients experience continuing problems that require additional procedures. This study evaluates patient-reported outcomes (PROs) in hypospadias care, particularly penile satisfaction and QoL after surgery, to fill this essential gap in the literature.

Male patients with congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (CHH) have impaired postnatal activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis that occurs during mini-puberty. The aim of this study was to report our experience using gonadotropin replacement therapy for mini-puberty in male infants with CHH and to establish treatment recommendations. The patients included in this retrospective case series ( = 9) were diagnosed in the postnatal period due to micropenis, with two being accompanied by cryptorchidism and four with other associated hormonal deficits.

Scabies is an enormous global public health problem and one of the World Health Organization's 20 most neglected tropical diseases. Scabies affects all groups with children and elderly, particularly in resource scarce countries, among the most vulnerable in terms of prevalence, morbidity, and preventable sequalae. The medical community now recognizes the preventable life-threatening secondary complications attributable to scabies.
