: The pericapsular nerve group (PENG) block is a novel ultrasound-guided regional technique that may provide analgesia to patients undergoing hip surgery. It has been extensively studied in recent years, but the evidence of superiority over other regional anaesthetic techniques is inconclusive. This review aimed to compare outcomes of the PENG block in patients undergoing hip surgery with standard techniques under general anaesthesia.

: The COVID-19 pandemic affected antimicrobial stewardship in healthcare, including Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs). This study aimed to (1) assess the appropriateness of antibiotic prescriptions for urinary tract infections (UTIs) and respiratory tract infections (RTIs) and identify predictors of inappropriate use; (2) analyze changes in prescribing practices relative to the pandemic's onset. : A retrospective review of electronic medical records from a 300-bed SNF (March 2019-March 2021) identified suspected UTIs and RTIs based on laboratory tests and antibiotic requests.

Objective: To assess the effectiveness of a machine learning framework and nomogram in predicting progression-free survival (PFS) post-radical gastrectomy in patients with dMMR.
Method: Machine learning models and nomograms to forecast PFS in patients undergoing radical gastrectomy for nonmetastatic gastric cancer with dMMR. Independent risk factors were identified using Cox regression analysis to develop the nomogram.

Objectives: This study aimed to accurately assess the gingival phenotype by comparing the mean gingival thickness (GT) measured at various levels with a single-point GT measurement.
Materials And Methods: Fifty participants were divided into thin and thick gingival phenotype groups according to two different classifications. The first classification was based on the GT measured at the base of the gingival sulcus (GT1), whereas the second classification was based on the mean of the GT (GTm) measured at the base of the gingival sulcus (GT1 point) and 1 mm apical (GT2 point) and 2 mm apical to the base of the gingival sulcus (GT3 point).

Background And Objective: Apixaban is increasingly being used for stroke prevention in patients with end-stage kidney disease with atrial fibrillation undergoing haemodialysis, but no pharmacostatistical model is available for dosage adjustment. This study aimed to develop a population pharmacokinetic model of apixaban in these patients to characterise its dialytic clearance and determine optimal dosing regimens and discontinuation timing before surgery.
Methods: Patients received 2.
