Background: Leishmaniasis is a health problem in many regions with poor health and poor life resources. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), an estimated 700,000-1 million new cases arise annually. Effective control of sand fly vector populations is crucial for reducing the transmission of this disease.

To facilitate the study of NPL-dependent intercellular interactions, we introduce MetaLigand, an R-based and web-accessible tool designed to infer NPL production and predict NPL-receptor interactions using transcriptomic data. MetaLigand compiles data for 233 NPLs, including their biosynthetic enzymes, transporter genes, and receptor genes, through a combination of automated pipelines and manual curation from comprehensive databases.

Background: The initial colonization of the infant gut is a complex process that defines the foundation for a healthy microbiome development. is one of the first colonizers of newborns' gut, playing a crucial role in the healthy development of both the host and its microbiome. However, exhibits significant genomic diversity, with subspecies ( subsp.

In this research article, we survey existing quantum physics-related games and, based on this survey, propose a definition for the concept of quantum games. We define a quantum game as any type of rule-based game that either employs the principles of quantum physics or references quantum phenomena or the theory of quantum physics through any of three proposed dimensions: the perceivable dimension of quantum physics, the dimension of quantum technologies, and the dimension of scientific purposes, such as citizen science or education. We also discuss the concept of quantum computer games, which are games on quantum computers, as well as definitions for the concept of science games.

Ribonucleic acid (RNA) plays a pivotal role in regulating biological processes within living systems, with modified nucleosides serving as critical modulators of various aspects of biological functions. Therefore, the development of efficient methodologies for late-stage, site-selective RNA modification is of considerable interest, as it facilitates the functional exploration of RNA chemical modifications and their implications for therapeutic applications. Precise RNA modification holds significant promise for the treatment of genetic diseases by enabling the correction of mutated nucleobases to their wild-type forms.
