Aim: To study the relationship between laboratory markers and echocardiography (EchoCG) parameters in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) depending on the results of the diastolic stress test (DST).
Material And Methods: The diagnostic algorithm provided by the current guidelines for the assessment of left ventricular (LV) diastolic function was used to select patients. If there were not enough criteria to make a conclusion about increased LV filling pressure (FP) based on standard resting echocardiography data in patients with arterial hypertension and ischemic heart disease, DST was performed to detect HFpEF.

Background: Various measures of arterial stiffness have been linked to the risk of cardiovascular disease. However, the relationship between the estimated pulse wave velocity (ePWV), a novel indicator of arterial stiffness, and cardio-cerebrovascular disease risk remains unclear. This study investigated the relationship between the ePWV and the risk of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases.

The cardiac myosin binding protein-C (cMyBP-C) regulates cross-bridge formation and controls the duration of systole and diastole at the whole heart level. As known, mutations in cMyBP-C increase the cross-bridge number and rate of their cycling, hypercontractility, and myocardial hypertrophy. We investigated the effects of the mutations D75N and P161S of cMyBP-C related to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy on the mechanism of force generation in isolated slow skeletal muscle fibers.

: Systemic sclerosis (SSc) causes myocardial and microvascular impairment, with subclinical dysfunction and eventually permanent cardio-vascular damage. The long-term influence of SSc therapies on subclinical cardiovascular dysfunction is insufficiently investigated. We aimed to assess 2D and 4D cardiac ultrasound parameters of heart function in patients with different forms of SSc versus controls and to determine the evolution of cardiac function and arterial stiffness parameters under therapy.

: The association between diabetic nephropathy and arterial elasticity and endothelial function is well established. In this study, we compared the effect of the combination of dulaglutide and dapagliflozin versus DPP-4 inhibitors on the endothelial glycocalyx, arterial stiffness, myocardial function, and albuminuria. : Overall, 60 patients were randomized to combined dulaglutide and dapagliflozin treatment (n = 30) or DPP-4 inhibitors (DPP-4i, n = 30) (ClinicalTrials.
