The objective of this study was to analyze the sensory changes reported by patients after lateral nasal wall surgery and to assess the prevalence and severity of sensory disturbances, the factors that influence their occurrence, and their impact on patients' quality of life. The methodology adopted in this study was PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis), as well as the PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcomes) strategy, which assisted in the development of the study's objectives. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, among all the articles retrieved in the searched databases (PubMed and Google Scholar), we selected 15 articles, considered to be pertinent and relevant to the present investigation.

Whether it be due to genetic variances, lack of patient adherence, or sub-optimal drug metabolism, the risk of antibiotic resistance from medications administered systemically continues to pose significant challenges to fighting infectious diseases. Ideally, infections would be treated locally for maximal efficacy while minimizing off-target effects. The electrospinning of biomaterials has recently facilitated the creation of electrospun nanofibers as an alternative delivery vehicle for local treatment.

Background: Assessment of health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients with cardiovascular disease (CVD) is impaired by limitations of current patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). We developed the first cardiovascular disease (CVD) specific electronic PROM for which health items were derived by a fully patient-centered method. This paper reports on the measurement of HRQoL in CVD patients by a novel developed electronic patient-centred PROM based on a preference-based measurement model.

Climate change is rapidly transforming ecosystems and reshaping the landscapes of animal health, with profound consequences for public health, food security, and biodiversity. Rising temperatures, shifting weather patterns, and increased frequency of natural disasters are driving the emergence and spread of infectious diseases, particularly zoonotic and vector-borne diseases. These environmental shifts endanger the health and welfare of animals and the delicate balance between human populations, livestock, and wildlife.
