Literature on the outcome of pregnancy with first trimester exposure to Temozolomide is limited. We describe the case of a young woman with Glioblastoma Multiforme who was exposed to Temozolomide during her first trimester of pregnancy and subsequently delivered a healthy term newborn. At six months of age, the child remains healthy with no evidence of Temozolomide related effects.

Background: The balance of omega-6/omega-3 (-6/-3) is crucial for proper brain function as they have opposite physiological roles.
Objectives: To analyze the association between maternal serum ratios of -6/-3 in the first and third trimesters of pregnancy and the neurodevelopment of their children in the early days after birth in the population of Northern Spain's Mediterranean region.
Methods: Longitudinal study in which 336 mother-child pairs participated.

Pregnancy involves significant immunological changes to support fetal development while protecting the mother from infections. A growing body of evidence supports the importance of immune checkpoint pathways, especially at the maternal-fetal interface, although limited information is available about the peripheral expression of these molecules by CD8+ and CD8- NK cell subsets during the trimesters of pregnancy. Understanding the dynamics of these immune cells and their checkpoint pathways is crucial for elucidating their roles in pregnancy maintenance and potential complications.

Placentation disorders, including severe preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction, have their origins in early pregnancy, whereas symptoms typically present later on. To investigate the pathogenesis of these diseases, there is a need for a reliable in vitro model system of early placenta development with known pregnancy outcomes. Therefore, we optimized the generation of human induced trophoblast stem cells (iTSCs) from term umbilical cord, enabling non-invasive collection of patient-derived material immediately after birth.
