Polycavernosides A and B are glycosidic macrolide natural products isolated as the toxins causing fatal human poisoning by the edible red alga Gracilaria edulis (Polycavernosa tsudai). Total synthesis of polycavernosides A and B has been achieved via a convergent approach. The synthesis of the macrolactone core structure is highlighted by the catalytic asymmetric syntheses of the two key fragments using hetero-Diels-Alder reaction and Kiyooka aldol reaction as the key steps, their union through Suzuki-Miyaura coupling, and Keck macrolactonization. Finally, glycosylation with the l-fucosyl-d-xylose unit and construction of the polyene side chain through Stille coupling completed the total synthesis of polycavernosides A and B.

Here, we employ automated fast-flow solid-phase synthesis to access catalytically active full-length enzymes without restrictions on the number and structure of noncanonical amino acids incorporated. Colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R) is almost exclusively expressed on microglia in the human brain and thus, has promise as a biomarker for imaging microglia density as a proxy for neuroinflammation. [C]CPPC is a radiotracer with selective affinity to CSF1R, and has been evaluated for in-human microglia PET imaging. The flourine-18 labeled CPPC derivative, 5-cyano-N-(4-(4-(2-[F]fluoroethyl)piperazin-1-yl)-2-(piperidin-1-yl)phenyl)furan-2-carboxamide ([F]FCPPC), was previously synthesized, however, with a low radiochemical yield using manual radiosynthesis.

Introduction: Sweet potato is an important food, feed and industrial raw material, and its tubers are rich in starch, carotenoids and anthocyanins.
Methods: To elucidate the gene expression regulation and metabolic characteristics during the development of sweet potato tubers, transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses were performed on the tubers of three different sweet potato varieties at three developmental stages (70, 100, and 130 days (d)).
Results: RNA-seq analysis revealed that 16,303 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were divided into 12 clusters according to their expression patterns, and the pathways of each cluster were annotated.

Objective: This study analyzed the changes in blood glucose and lipid metabolism levels in children with central precocious puberty (CPP) and the correlation between CPP and obesity.
Methods: In total, 88 children with CPP aged 6-10 years who were admitted to our hospital between January 2023 and June 2024 (the CPP group), and 88 children without CPP in the same age group who received health check-ups (the non-CPP group) were retrospectively enrolled in this study. General data [gender, age, bone age, and body mass index (BMI)] were collected.
