To explore roles of androgen and cytokines such as IL-1, IL-6 and TNF-α in PCOS. Cumulus cells were isolated from rat COCs and divided into two sets of experiments. Set 1 includes 4 groups: Control group, IL-1 group (final concentration at 5 nM), IL-6 group (final concentration at 5nM) and TNF-α group (final concentration at 5nM). Set 2 also include 4 groups: Control group, Androgen group 1 (final concentration at 1 nM), Androgen group 2 (final concentration at 10 nM) and Androgen group 3 (final concentration at 100 nM). Androgen, at final concentration of 100 nM, can induce secretion of cytokines include IL-1, IL-6 and TNF-α in cumulus cells. This in turn leads to cell apoptosis probably through ROS production as well as promotes oocyte maturation. Androgen and cytokines that developed during PCOS contribute to ROS production, apoptosis and oocyte maturation in that disease.

Objective: to map the available evidence on the characteristics of care coordination between Primary Health Care and Specialized Outpatient Care for users with diabetes and hypertension.
Method: this is a scoping review with 40 articles as the final sample, evaluated by means of Content Analysis, of the thematic-categorical type, with the aid of a technological tool.
Results: care coordination was defined by means of eight categories: information and communication, integration of care, improvement and quality, care management, care sharing, fundamental attribute, health professionals and health service users, with the results of the articles concentrating mainly on four categories, with information and communication standing out, followed by the category of care management and the category of care sharing, in parallel with improvement and quality.

Objective: To investigate the predictive value of tumor iodine concentration obtained with dual-energy CT (DECT) for treatment response in patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI).
Materials And Methods: Retrospective single-center study of consecutive metastatic melanoma and renal cell carcinoma (RCC) patients undergoing first-line ICI treatment. The iodine concentration measurement time points include prior to initiation of therapy (baseline [BL]), after initiation (follow-up [FU1]), and either time point nearest to 12 months or at time of progression (final follow-up [FFU]).

Context: Previous studies have explored the relationship between vitamin D and lipid profile in individuals with obesity or overweight women, but the results have been inconsistent.
Objective: This meta-analysis and systematic review of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) was conducted to assess the effect of vitamin D on lipid profile in women who are overweight or obese.
Data Sources: A meticulous search strategy was used across the Scopus, PubMed/Medline, Web of Science, and Embase databases up to June 2024.

Gluconeogenesis, the reciprocal pathway of glycolysis, is an energy-consuming process that generates glycolytic intermediates from non-carbohydrate sources. In this study, we demonstrate that robust and efficient gluconeogenesis in bacteria relies on the allosteric inactivation of pyruvate kinase, the enzyme responsible for the irreversible final step of glycolysis. Using the model bacterium as an example, we discovered that pyruvate kinase activity is inhibited during gluconeogenesis via its extra C-terminal domain (ECTD), which is essential for autoinhibition and metabolic regulation.
