AI Article Synopsis

  • Non-organ retroperitoneal tumors (NROTs) in the retroperitoneal pelvic fibrous space present challenges for surgical removal, especially when they are large.
  • Proper surgical intervention may require access through both the abdominal cavity and the gluteal region to effectively remove the tumor.
  • The text discusses a specific case highlighting the complexity of treating these tumors surgically.

Article Abstract

Non-organ retroperitoneal tumors (NROTs) localized in the retroperitoneal pelvic fibrous space are a difficult target for surgical intervention. The situation is tricky if the tumor is large enough through the hock or one of the sciatic foramen extends to the gluteal region. In this case, radical removal of the tumor is possible only with the use of two surgical accesses - through the abdominal cavity and the gluteal region. through the abdomen and the gluteal region. Here is such an observation.
