October 2024
Purpose: Dental implants are an established treatment option for varying edentulous conditions that has grown in popularity since the 1990s. This increased clinical application has shown a parallel increase in implant-related research. The objective of this paper was to perform a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of five dental implantology journals from 1991 to 2023.

Introduction: This review critically examines the efficacy of dual-modular stems in primary total hip arthroplasty. Given the variability and non-comparability of certain femoral stem designs and stem-neck couplings, with some even being withdrawn from the market, this review offers an in-depth analysis of predominant implant performances.
Areas Covered: The paper explores a brief historical summary related to dual-modular stems, including the complications associated with their use, diagnostic tools for evaluation, analysis of both recalled and currently available models, as well as alternative therapeutic options.

Introduction: Despite the use of modern implants, complications such as nonunion and avascular necrosis of the femoral head are observed in femoral neck fractures (FNF). We have created a new perforated I-beam implant for FNF osteosynthesis and developed a new osteosynthesis philosophy based not only on the mechanical and biomechanical interaction of the bone-implant system, but also on the interaction of the biological properties of the bone and the implant. The purpose of the work is to study the interaction of the biological process of the bone - its regeneration (germination) of bone tissue into the holes of the implant.

Background: To maximize the therapeutic effect for complicated sternal fracture, we should know advantages and disadvantages of each surgical repositioning technique, and the choice of an appropriate procedure is essential. We report two successful cases for which a combination of two existing techniques, modified Robicsek wire fixation and locked titanium plate fixation, was applied to transverse sternal fracture with flail chest.
Case Presentation: One patient experienced a transverse sternal and rib fracture due to a traffic injury.
