Background/objectives: In November 1999, WHO established the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts (SAGE) on Immunization as a multidisciplinary group of experts to provide high-level recommendations on vaccines and immunization.
Methods: This review provides an overview of SAGE's work in the past 25 years. It further outlines the processes and methods currently used by SAGE and highlights some of its major achievements.

Background/objectives: Humoral immunity directed against neuraminidase (NA) of the influenza virus may soften the severity of infection caused by new antigenic variants of the influenza viruses. Evaluation of NA-inhibiting (NI) antibodies in combination with antibodies to hemagglutinin (HA) may enhance research on the antibody response to influenza vaccines.
Methods: The study examined 64 pairs of serum samples from patients vaccinated with seasonal inactivated trivalent influenza vaccines (IIVs) in 2018 according to the formula recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for the 2018-2019 flu season.

This study presents a novel approach for monitoring waste substrate digestion under high-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembranes in sewage treatment plants. The method integrates infrared thermal imaging with a clustering algorithm to predict the distribution of various substrates beneath Traditional outdoor large-scale opaque geomembranes, using solar radiation as an excitation source. The technique leverages ambient weather conditions to assess the thermal responses of HDPE covers.

The antioxidant/antiapoptotic features of dapagliflozin (DPG) have mediated its beneficial actions against several experimental models. However, no studies have been conducted to determine whether DPG mitigates the renal injury triggered by cadmium (Cd). Herein, DPG was studied for its potential to attenuate kidney damage in Cd-intoxicated rats, as well as to unravel the mechanisms involving oxidative events, autophagy, and apoptosis.

Florbetaben (FBB) is a radiopharmaceutical approved by the FDA and EMA in 2014 for the positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of brain amyloid deposition in patients with cognitive impairment who are being evaluated for Alzheimer's disease (AD) or other causes of cognitive decline. Initially, the clinical adoption of FBB PET faced significant barriers, including reimbursement challenges and uncertainties regarding its integration into diagnostic clinical practice. This review examines the progress made in overcoming these obstacles and describes the concurrent evolution of the diagnostic landscape.
