Many adolescent female cancer patients will survive into their reproductive years. Pediatric oncologists are advised to discuss oncofertility during treatment planning. In this pilot study, 19 adolescent females completed a retrospective survey assessing recall of a fertility discussion, satisfaction with fertility knowledge, and multiple factors that may influence recall, including parental involvement in decision-making. Eleven respondents (58%) remembered a discussion about infertility risk and 9 (47%) about fertility preservation. Most who recalled a discussion were satisfied with their fertility knowledge (10/11, 90.9%). In this study, we validated the feasibility of survey administration and identified trends in oncofertility counseling at our center.

Integrating machine learning (ML) models into healthcare systems is a rapidly evolving field with the potential to revolutionize care delivery. This study aimed to classify fertility rates and identify significant predictors using ML models among reproductive women in Ethiopia. This study utilized eight ML models in 5864 reproductive-age women using Ethiopian Demographic Health Survey (EDHS), 2019 data.

Background: Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is a common complication during pregnancy. Late diagnosis can have significant implications for both the mother and the fetus. This research aims to create an early prediction model for GDM in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Study Question: How are the changing maternal age structure and population growth expected to shape future twinning rates in low-income countries?
Summary Answer: With maternal age at birth projected to shift toward older ages, twinning rates are also estimated to increase in most low-income countries by 2050 and even more by 2100.
What Is Known Already: Many of the sub-Saharan African and South Asian countries are undergoing, and projected to further experience, the shift of maternal age at birth to older ages. Advanced maternal age is a well-established predictor of multiple births at the individual level, but currently, it is unknown how the changes in maternal age distribution are associated with the changes in twinning rates at the population level in low-income countries.

Research Question: Could a predictive model, using data from all US fertility clinics reporting to the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, estimate the likelihood of patients using their stored oocytes?
Design: Multiple learner algorithms, including penalized regressions, random forests, gradient boosting machine, linear discriminant analysis and bootstrap aggregating decision trees were used. Data were split into training and test datasets. Patient demographics, medical and fertility diagnoses, partner information and geographic locations were analysed.

Heterogeneity in vaccine response, particularly in vulnerable populations like the elderly, represents a significant public health challenge. We conducted an in-depth examination of immune cell profiles before and after SARS-CoV-2 vaccination utilizing mass cytometry in a cohort of healthy Norwegian seniors (65-80 years). We have demonstrated that higher pre-vaccination frequencies of CD27IgD class-switched memory B cells and subsets of CD27CD24CD38 transitional B cells were associated with a robust vaccine response.
