We create fermionic dipolar ^{23}Na^{6}Li molecules in their triplet ground state from an ultracold mixture of ^{23}Na and ^{6}Li. Using magnetoassociation across a narrow Feshbach resonance followed by a two-photon stimulated Raman adiabatic passage to the triplet ground state, we produce 3×10^{4} ground state molecules in a spin-polarized state. We observe a lifetime of 4.6 s in an isolated molecular sample, approaching the p-wave universal rate limit. Electron spin resonance spectroscopy of the triplet state was used to determine the hyperfine structure of this previously unobserved molecular state.

Research typically promotes two types of outcomes (inventions and discoveries), which induce a virtuous cycle: something suspected or desired (not previously demonstrated) may become known or feasible once a new tool or procedure is invented and, later, the use of this invention may discover new knowledge. Research also promotes the opposite sequence-from new knowledge to new inventions. This bidirectional process is observed in geo-referenced epidemiology-a field that relates to but may also differ from spatial epidemiology.

High-precision molecular manipulation techniques are used to control the distance between radical molecules on superconductors. Our results show that the molecules can host single electrons with a spin 1/2. By changing the distance between tip and sample, a quantum phase transition from the singlet to doublet ground state can be induced.

Secretory canals are distributed among seed plants, and their diversity is concentrated in many families of angiosperms, while other internal secretory structures such as secretory cavities have been identified only in Rutaceae, Myrtaceae, and Asteraceae. Identifying and recognizing these two types of secretory structures has been complicated, mainly due to their structural similarities. In this study, the ontogeny of canals and secretory cavities in two species of Asteraceae are described and compared, to understand the structural differences between them and allow the establishment of more appropriate homology hypotheses.

Research investigating the complex mechanical properties and energy evolution mechanisms of frozen calcareous clay under the influence of multiple factors is crucial for optimizing the artificial ground freezing method in shaft sinking, thereby enhancing construction quality and safety. In this study, a four-factor, four-level orthogonal test was devised, taking into account temperature, confining pressure, dry density, and water content. The complex nonlinear curvilinear relationship between deviatoric stress, volume strain, and axial strain of frozen calcareous clay under different interaction levels was analyzed.

Patients with pulmonary fibrosis (PF) often experience long waits before getting a correct diagnosis, and this delay in reaching specialized care is associated with increased mortality, regardless of the severity of the disease. Early diagnosis and timely treatment of PF can potentially extend life expectancy and maintain a better quality of life. Crackles present in the recorded lung sounds may be crucial for the early diagnosis of PF.
