The multimode light-field camera can capture spatial location and spectral and polarization characteristics of a target simultaneously. There is an aliasing effect, which causes the directly extracted image of a certain filter to include information from other filters. The reconstruction method proposed by Li (Jingzhen Li, thesis of Beihang University, 2015) can improve the accuracy of the polarization images, but the gray values still have gradient variations. In this paper, a method for reconstructing polarization images from the light-field image is proposed along with an aliasing model. Compared with the conventional direct-extraction and Li's methods, the proposed method can greatly reduce energy loss, and the accuracy of the reconstructed image increases more than fivefold.

Liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs) with various deformation properties based on phase transition were widely used as actuators and provided potential to fabricate functional surfaces with tunable microstructure. Herein, we demonstrate a strategy to fabricate dynamic micro wrinkles on LCE surfaces based on LC phase transition. Stable micron-sized surface wrinkles on the anthracene-containing LCE film (AnLCE) are fabricated by ultraviolet exposure induced gradient cross-linking and subsequently stretching-releasing (UV-SR).

This study presents a generalized design strategy for novel terahertz-wave polarization space-division multiplexing meta-devices, functioning as multi-polarization generators, modulators, and analyzers. It introduces the spin-decoupled phase control method by combining gradient phase design with circular polarization multiplexing techniques, enabling exceptional flexibility in controlling the polarization directions and spatial distributions of multiple output beams. The meta-device M-4D is significantly demonstrated as proof of concept, which converts an incident linearly polarized wave into four beams with distinct polarization angles.

Low-intensity transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) is a noninvasive technique that safely alters neural activity, reaching deep brain areas with good spatial accuracy. We investigated the effects of TUS in macaques using a recent metric, the synergy minus redundancy rank gradient, which quantifies different kinds of neural information processing. We analyzed this high-order quantity on the fMRI data after TUS in two targets: the supplementary motor area (SMA-TUS) and the frontal polar cortex (FPC-TUS).

Background: Completely endophytic renal tumors (CERT) pose significant challenges due to their anatomical complexity and loss of visual clues about tumor location. A facile scoring model based on three-dimensional (3D) reconstructed images will assist in better assessing tumor location and vascular variations.

Methods: In this retrospective study, 80 patients diagnosed with CERT were included.

The human T-lymphotropic virus type-1 (HTLV-1) is an oncogenic retrovirus that predominantly spreads through cell-to-cell contact due to the limited infectivity of cell-free viruses. Among various modes of intercellular transmission, HTLV-1 biofilms emerge as adhesive structures, polarized at the cell surface, which encapsulate virions within a protective matrix. This biofilm is supposed to facilitate simultaneous virion delivery during infection.
