Fiber-coupled image sensors have attracted interest in recent years for high-resolution conformal image transfer, including mapping of the spherical image surface of a monocentric wide-angle lens to one or more flat focal plane sensors. However, image resolution is lost due to fiber bundle defects, moiré from lateral fiber-sensor misalignment, and blur due to the nonzero gap between fiber bundle and the image sensor. Here we investigate whether subpixel impulse response characterization of the strongly shift-variant impulse response can be used with existing image-processing techniques to recover the resolution otherwise lost in image transfer. We show that the submicrometer impulse response is experimentally repeatable, and can be used to recover image data and reveal fine features of the input surface structure of a 2.5 μm pitch fiber bundle.

This study investigates the impact of gamification on response inhibition in a Stop-Signal Task (SST) and examines participants' gamification experience. The findings reveal that, after accounting for approach- and avoidance-motivation as well as impulsiveness, higher immersion is associated with impaired response inhibition. This effect could be attributed to a substantial decline in immersion between the first and second SST sessions.

The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of using probiotics with strains related to dopamine and gamma-aminobutyric acid production on clinical features of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This randomized, controlled trial involved 38 children with ADHD and 42 children with ASD, aged 5-16 years, who received probiotics (Lactiplantibacillus plantarum and Levilactobacillus brevis 109/cfu/daily) or placebo for 12 weeks. Parent-reported symptoms were assessed using Conners' 3rd-Ed and the Social Responsiveness Scale Test, 2nd-Ed (SRS-2), and children completed the Conners Continuous Performance Test, 3rd-Ed (CPT 3) or Conners Kiddie CPT, 2nd-Ed (K-CPT 2).
