Two analytical approaches, including ultra-high performance liquid chromatograph linked with photo-diode array/fluorescence detector, and ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, have been proposed for simultaneous determination of five Alternaria toxins in cereals, which both based on QuEChERS strategy. After QuEChERS extraction and salting out, the collected supernatant was subjected to an extra dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction step prior to quantitative analysis. Response surface methodology based on central composite design was employed to optimize the micro-extraction conditions. During photo-diode array/fluorescence detector method validation, satisfactory analytical characteristics, in terms of selectivity, recovery (72.7%-109.1%), precision (inter-day RSDs <9.6%), sensitivity (limits of quantification ranged from 2.1μgkg to 120.0μgkg) and linearity (R all higher than 0.9984), were achieved. Mass spectrometry method was employed as a certified method for accuracy. The two methodologies were successfully applied to 71 samples including three different matrices and the quantitative results were compared. As the result of non-parametric test shown, the established two analytical approach exhibited comparable quantitative accuracy to each other.

B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) levels accurately reflect the degree of cardiac overload in heart failure. Considering cardiac morphology and intracardiac pressure, including the left ventricular end-systolic volume index (LVESVI) and left ventricular end-diastolic volume index (LVEDVI), is essential for cardiac overload assessment. These indexes influence plasma BNP levels, and high heart rate is likely associated with cardiac morphology.

Introduction: Family and school environments are pivotal in adolescent development. However, the simultaneous examination of adversities in both domains remains understudied. Based on bioecological and spillover theories, this study aimed to bridge this research gap by using latent profile analysis to identify distinct patterns of family adversity and bullying involvement among Chinese adolescents.

The physiological, functional, and structural properties of proteins and their pathogenic variants can be summarized using many tools. The information relating to a single protein is often spread among different sources requiring different programs for access. It is not always easy to select, simultaneously visualize, and compare specific properties of different proteins.

Purpose: Asymmetric anterior closing-wedge high tibial osteotomy (ACWHTO) allows correction of both excessive posterior tibial slope (PTS) and varus deformity. However, the complexity of this surgery requires a high degree of accuracy, which is less likely to be achieved with standard instrumentations. This study aimed to determine the accuracy of 3D patient-specific cutting guides (PSCGs) to provide the accurate planned correction in the frontal and sagittal planes.

Purpose: This study aimed to explore the potential application of NAO in guiding patients through rehabilitative exercises using external audiovisual stimuli, focusing on temporospatial control in terms of range of motion (ROM), execution time and movement smoothness.

Methods: This is a preliminary analysis involving ten healthy volunteers and two patients with shoulder musculoskeletal disorders. The protocol was developed in two phases (III and IV) with different ROM limits and including flexion-extension (FE), external-rotation (ER) and internal-rotation (IR) exercises, performed at two speeds and both with and without NAO assistance.
