Objectives: The objectives were to determine the structure of training programmes and assessment of physicians training to become infectious disease (ID) specialists in Europe in early 2024, and to document the provision of specialists, trainees and training centres in each country.
Methods: Delegates to the ID Section and Board of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) entered national data on a web-based survey tool in late 2023-early 2024. Results were compared to UEMS recommendations on the structure and content of postgraduate training in ID in Europe (2018), and to results of a similar survey in early 2021.
Objective: To identify lifting actions and count the number of lifts performed in videos based on robust class prediction and a streamlined process for reliable real-time monitoring of lifting tasks.
Background: Traditional methods for recognizing lifting actions often rely on deep learning classifiers applied to human motion data collected from wearable sensors. Despite their high performance, these methods can be difficult to implement on systems with limited hardware resources.

Objective: To use the job demands-resources model of occupational stress to quantify and explain the impact of working in critical care during the COVID-19 pandemic on nurses and their employing organisation.
Design: Two-phase mixed methods: a cross-sectional survey (January 2021-March 2022), with comparator baseline data from April to October 2018 (critical care nurses only), and semistructured interviews.
Participants: Critical care nurses ( = 461) and nurses redeployed to critical care ( = 200) who worked in the United Kingdom National Health Service (primarily Scotland) between January 2021 and March 2022.

Design: An exploratory, qualitative design.
Methods And Data Source: Data were collected between September and November 2022 using semi-structured interviews of 1-h duration with 11 clinical facilitators working in South Australia.

Background: Anosognosia or lack of insight is a common feature of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and associated disorders. It is an impairment in the ability to recognize the disease and related symptoms.
