Five new organic-inorganic hybrid compounds based on [PWO] (abbreviated as {PW}) and several types of transition metal complexes (TMCs) have been synthesized and characterized by IR, UV-Vis, XRD, cyclic voltammetry measurements and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. [Cu(phen)][Cu(phen)(HO)][Cu(phen)(HO)][PWO]·8HO (1) (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) is a {PW} bi-supported complex of phen, while [Cu(2,2'-bpy)(HO)][Cu(2,2'-bpy)][PWO]·3.5HO (2) (2,2'-bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) is a 1-D chain structure formed by {PW} and copper complexes of 2,2'-bpy. [Ag(2,2'-bpy)][HPWO]·HO (3), [Ag(2,2'-bpy)(HO)][Ag(2,2'-bpy)][Ag(2,2'-bpy)][PWO] (4), and [Ag(2,2'-bpy)(HO)][Ag(2,2'-bpy)][Ag(2,2'-bpy)][PWO]·HO (5) are constructed from {PW} and silver complexes of 2,2'-bpy. Compounds 4 and 5 are novel dimers of {PW} joined by silver complexes, while compound 3 contains two different kinds of silver complexes, forming a novel supramolecular structure. Each of the five compounds is formed by {PW} and more than one type of TMC. The formation mechanism of these compounds has been carefully discussed. In addition, we also synthesized two supramolecular structures based on {PW} and organic moieties: [HPWO](phen) (6) and [HPWO](phen)·43HO (7). The catalytic properties of these compounds were also tested.

Traditional tactile sensors are single-function, and it is difficult to meet the needs of applications in complex environments. This paper describes the development and applications of flexible tactile sensors with cilia based on magnetoelectric composites made of neodymium iron boron (NdFeB) microparticles with a silver (Ag) nanoshell in polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). These sensors adopt the inherent magnetism of NdFeB microparticles and the excellent conductivity of the Ag coating.

Silver N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes are known to form biscarbene species from monocarbene analogs in protic polar solvents. However, the effect of the respective species of silver NHC complexes on their biological activity against bacteria or cancer cells has not been systematically explored, either in vitro or in vivo. The direct and simple conversion of monocarbene silver N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) halide complexes (NHC)AgX, (X= Cl, Br) 1a/b - 5a/b to their biscarbene analogues (NHC)2AgX 1c/d - 5c/d is reported.

The cyclic triangular complex - silver (I) 4-nitro-3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyrazolate (Agpz) with super π-acidity shows great potential in adsorptive desulfurization (ADS) as a novel adsorbent, however, it fails to work well in the continue flow adsorption study. In order to improve its dynamic adsorption performance, a composite has been prepared by mixing Agpz and multilayer graphene (MG) in methanol. Based on the results of characterization by FT-IR, XPS, SEM, and so on, the optimal mass ratio of Agpz:MG in the synthesis is 0.

Gold (or electrum) in hydrothermal fluid precipitates directly from gold sulfide complex and/or partly via suspended nanoparticles. The hydrothermal fluid contains "invisible gold" that is atomically dispersed in sulfide minerals or as nanoparticles with a size of less than 10 nm. However, the contribution of these gold nanoparticles to the formation of native gold and its alloy with silver (electrum) remains unclear.
