Objective: The purpose of this study is to validate the taxonomy and framework using Chinese guidelines and identify actionable statements.
Design And Setting: We searched five databases, to identify the health guidelines from 1 January 2020 to 1 May 2023. Five researchers categorised statements into six types: formal recommendations (Type I) with clear direction and strength, with explicit and direct evidence; good practice statements (GPS) (Type II), actionable in isolation with a significant benefit; remarks (Type III), an inseparable unit belonging to a formal recommendation or GPS that provides additional clarification; research only recommendations (Type IV) for specific populations; implementation considerations, tools and tips (Type V), that describe the how, who, where, what and when, in relation to implementing a recommendation and lacking a direct evidence link; and informal recommendations (Type VI), unrelated to evidence and not meeting GPS criteria.

The second iteration of the international conference 'Pathway to Increase Standards and Competency of eDNA Surveys (PISCeS)' was held at the University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario, Canada from June 18-20th, 2023. During this environmental DNA (eDNA) conference, 60 oral and 25 poster presentations from academia, government, industry, NGOs, and Indigenous partners discussed the latest developments in eDNA research, explored strategies to inform public policy, and presented future directions in the field. The conference also included three panel discussions focused on prominent themes in the eDNA space, and five workshops dedicated to practical eDNA tools and methods.

Purpose: To present results from the trial radiotherapy quality assurance (RTQA) programme of the centres involved in the randomised phase-III PROton versus photon Therapy for esophageal Cancer - a Trimodality strategy (PROTECT)-trial, investigating the clinical effect of proton therapy (PT) vs. photon therapy (XT) for patients with oesophageal cancer.
Materials And Methods: The pre-trial RTQA programme consists of benchmark target and organ at risk (OAR) delineations as well as treatment planning cases, a facility questionnaire and beam output audits.
The estimation of brain networks is instrumental in quantifying and evaluating brain function. Nevertheless, achieving precise estimations of subject-level networks has proven to be a formidable task. In response to this challenge, researchers have developed group-inference frameworks that leverage robust group-level estimations as a common reference point to infer corresponding subject-level networks.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe interest and dissemination of Virtual Reality (VR) is still expanding across multiple domains. While VR has the capacity to revolutionize many different industries and fields, the recent Covid-19 pandemic has also increased awareness of hygiene and safety associated with VR usage. Despite the growing commercial availability of both VR headsets and preventive and disinfection solutions, confirmatory studies required to validate both the efficacy and safety of the different solutions are severely lacking.
