Regular physical activity has a significant impact on health. There is scientific evidence for prescription of exercise in the treatment of at least 26 different chronic non-communicable diseases. Furthermore, it has an indirect role in the preservation of work capacity. The aim of this study was to review the published results of research on the relationship between leisure-time PA and absenteeism due to sickness. Medline database was searched using the keywords "leisuretime physical activity AND (sick leave OR sickness absence OR absenteeism)". Fifteen studies were included in the final analysis. A negative correlation between leisure-time PA and absenteeism due to sickness in working population was determined in 11 studies. The results support the inclusion of PA promotion in the programmes intended to reduce absenteeism prevalence, the latter being an important public health issue.

Background: Previous studies regarding mind-body exercise among people with breast cancer mostly focused on one type of mind-body exercise and provided conflicting results.
Aims: This paper aims to systematically synthesize the evidence hierarchy and examine the credibility of previous meta-analyses of different types of mind-body exercises.
Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and Epitemonikos from database inception to February 2nd, 2024, for meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials.
Aims: Inter-atrial shunt device therapy has shown mixed results in clinical trials, with clinical 'non-responders' typically showing features of more advanced heart failure. We aimed to analyse the haemodynamic and clinical response of a novel left atrial to coronary sinus (LA-CS) shunt device in patients with higher natriuretic peptide (NP) levels, a marker of disease severity.
Methods And Results: An analysis population (n = 95) of patients from the ALT-FLOW early feasibility study with left ventricular ejection fraction >40% and 1-year follow up was analysed.

Motor imagery (MI) engages a broad network of brain regions to imagine a specific action. Investigating the mechanism of brain network reorganization during MI after spinal cord injury (SCI) is crucial because it reflects overall brain activity. Using electroencephalogram (EEG) data from SCI patients, we conducted EEG-based coherence analysis to examine different brain network reorganizations across different frequency bands, from resting to MI.

Introduction: Occupational therapy is underpinned by the belief that occupation facilitates health and wellbeing. However, evidence suggests that occupational therapists encounter challenges to implementing occupation-centred practice. The aim of this study was to investigate the uptake, acceptability and impact of a workplace intervention designed to enhance occupation-centred practice of occupational therapists in an acute adult physical context.

Objective: To investigate whether the introduction of healthy vending machines on a university campus could increase the proportion of healthy food and beverage purchases.
Design: Four new healthy vending machines offering a wider range of healthier food and beverages were installed alongside existing machines. These new machines used traffic light colours to indicate nutritional value.
