With the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, embedded devices in various computer vision scenarios can realize real-time target detection and recognition tasks, such as intelligent manufacturing, automatic driving, smart home, and so on. YOLOv8, as an advanced deep learning model in the field of target detection, has attracted much attention for its excellent detection speed, high precision, and multi-task processing capability. However, since IoT embedded devices typically own limited computing resources, direct deployment of YOLOv8 is a big challenge, especially for real-time detection tasks.

Background: Social media influencers who promote e-cigarettes on Instagram or TikTok for tobacco brands use marketing tactics to increase the appeal of their promotional content, for example, depicting e-cigarettes alongside healthy lifestyle or entertainment imagery that could decrease youths' risk perceptions of e-cigarettes. Monitoring the prevalence of such content on social media using computer vision and generative AI (artificial intelligence) can provide valuable data for tobacco regulatory science (TRS).
Methods: We selected 102 Instagram and TikTok videos posted by micro-influencers in 2021-2024 who promoted e-cigarettes alongside posts featuring four themes: cannabis, entertainment, fashion or healthy lifestyle.

In this work, we propose a non-contact video-based approach that estimates an individual's blood pressure. The estimation of blood pressure is critical for monitoring hypertension and cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease or stroke. Estimation of blood pressure is typically achieved using contact-based devices which apply pressure on the arm through a cuff.

This study presents a comprehensive ultrasound image dataset for Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), addressing the critical need for standardized resources in AI-assisted diagnosis. The dataset comprises 10,352 high-resolution ultrasound images from 384 patients collected at King Saud University Medical City and National Guard Health Affairs in Saudi Arabia. Each image is meticulously annotated with NAFLD Activity Score (NAS) fibrosis staging and steatosis grading based on corresponding liver biopsy results.

True total-body and extended axial field-of-view (AFOV) PET/CT with 1m or more of body coverage are now commercially available and dramatically increase system sensitivity over conventional AFOV PET/CT. The Siemens Biograph Vision Quadra (Quadra), with an AFOV of 106cm, potentially allows use of significantly lower administered radiopharmaceuticals as well as reduced scan times. The aim of this study was to optimise acquisition protocols for routine clinical imaging with FDG on the Quadra the prioritisation of reduced activity given physical infrastructure constraints in our facility.
