Dried urine spots have recently been proposed as an alternative matrix in the anti-doping field. Drying urine may open the opportunity to limit microbial and thermal degradation of the prohibited substances during transportation to the anti-doping laboratories without the need for refrigeration or freezing. In this study, a multi-targeted initial testing procedure was developed for the determination of 237 prohibited drugs/metabolites from 11 different classes in dried urine spots.

Objective: We developed a Decision-Making Grid (GRID) to help investigators determine whether a clinical trial is compatible with a second clinical trial, thus allowing coenrollment, or if it should be considered competing, prohibiting coenrollment.
Methods: The GRID evaluates 21 elements across 4 domains: Scientific Integrity, Data Interpretation, Feasibility/Burden, and Additional Considerations.

Time-resolved photoemission spectroscopy is the key technique to probe the real-time nonequilibrium dynamics of electronic states. Theoretical predictions of the time dependent spectral function for realistic systems is however, a challenge. Employing the Kadanoff-Baym equations to find this quantity results in a cubic scaling in the total number of time steps, quickly becoming prohibitive and often fail quantitatively and even qualitatively.

Neurodegeneration causes progressive regional brain atrophy, typically initiating prior to symptom onset. Researchers measure the impact of potential treatments on atrophy in mouse models to assess their effectiveness.
