Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the health benefits of green spaces, yet research on how specific elements of natural infrastructure affect well-being during the pandemic has been limited.

Methods: This study, conducted at Sichuan Agricultural University with 300 students in 2022, investigated how urban natural infrastructure impacts physical and psychological well-being during the pandemic. Different aspects of natural infrastructure, such as thermal comfort, air quality (negative ion concentration), and noise and light levels, varied in their positive effects on students' health.

Abstract: The effects of post-hydration heating over a broad range of temperatures are evident in many Mighei-like carbonaceous (CM) chondrites as a variety of mineral transitions. To better understand these processes and how a CM chondrite's starting composition may have affected them, we experimentally heated two meteorites with different degrees of aqueous alteration, Allan Hills 83100 and Murchison, at 25 °C temperature steps from 200 °C to 950 °C and 300 °C to 750 °C, respectively. During heating, synchrotron in situ X-ray diffraction patterns were collected.

Background: Thermal damage may lead to inflammation of the peeled mucosal surface during endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD).

Aim: To determine the effect of Joule heat on the onset of post-ESD electrocoagulation syndrome (PECS).

Methods: In this prospective study, PECS was characterized by in-hospital fever (white blood cell count: ≥ 10000 μ/L or body temperature ≥ 37.

Due to the high cost of each experimental run in additive manufacturing (AM), there has been a drive to develop simulations that can find the optimal processing parameters. The accuracy of these simulations is dependent on the accuracy of the material parameters recorded in literature. These reported parameters can vary widely resulting in differing simulation results.

Thermal cracking is one of the serious issues that deteriorates the processibility of laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) high-strength aluminum components. To date, the effects of processing parameters on crack formation are still not well understood. The purpose of this study is to understand the correlation between the thermal cycle and the hot cracking during LPBF of Al-Cu-Mg-Mn alloys.
