Unlabelled: Gastritis cystica profunda (GCP) is a rare lesion of the stomach. It is characterised by hyperplasia and cystic dilation of the gastric gland in the submucosal layer. It is usually believed to occur at the site of previous gastric surgeries, as the anastomotic remnants act as a foundation for the development of the lesion.

Gastritis cystica profunda (GCP) is a rare entity characterized by foveolar hyperplasia and cystic dilation of the gastric mucosa and submucosal glands. Its etiopathogenesis remains unknown. It has been associated with chronic inflammatory conditions, such as gastric surgery or bile reflux.
