Flexible bio-memristive (FBM) devices utilizing chicken egg albumen (CEA):Au@SiO core-shell nanoparticle nanocomposites were fabricated on indium-tin-oxide (ITO) coated polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) substrates. Current-voltage (I-V) curves for the Al/CEA:Au@SiO core-shell nanoparticle/ITO/PEN devices showed clockwise current hysteresis behaviors due to the existence of the CEA:Au@SiO core-shell nanoparticle nanocomposites. The endurance number of the ON/OFF switching for the FBM devices was above 10 cycles. An ON/OFF current ratio of 1 × 10 was maintained for retention times longer than 1 × 10 s. The memory characteristics of the FBM devices after bending were similar to those before bending. The memory margin and the stability of FBM devices were enhanced due to the embedded Au@SiO core-shell nanoparticles. The switching mechanisms occurring in the Al/CEA:Au@SiO core-shell nanoparticle/ITO-coated PEN devices are described on the basis of the I-V results and the filament mechanisms.

Objectives: The cavo-atrial junction (CAJ) is the most appropriate central venous catheters CVC tip location to reduce complications. Among chest X-ray (CXR) landmarks for tips assessment, only the pericardial reflection lies in the same plane as the vascular structures. We aimed to evaluate the observer variability to determine tip positioning on CXR, using CT as a gold standard.

Background: Invasion of the CS is one of the limiting factors for total resection for PitNet tumors with cure rates less than 30%. Extended approaches may be considered in selective and well-studied cases of secreting adenomas.
Method: We describe the key steps of the endoscopic transcavernous approach for functional pituitary adenomas with a video illustration.

Purpose: Awake craniotomy with intraoperative functional brain mapping (FBM) bedside neurological testing is an important technique used to optimize resective brain surgeries near eloquent cortex. Awake craniotomy performed with electrocorticography (ECoG) and direct electrical stimulation (DES) for FBM can delineate eloquent cortex from lesions and epileptogenic regions. However, current electrode technology demonstrates spatial limitations.

Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is the leading and most preventable cause of maternal mortality, particularly in low-resource settings. PPH is currently diagnosed through visual estimation of blood loss or monitoring of vital signs. Visual assessment routinely underestimates blood loss beyond the point of pharmaceutical intervention.

Background: The family represents the most essential and supportive environment for children with cerebral palsy (CP). To improve children's outcomes, it is crucial to consider the needs of families in order to offer family-centered care, which tailors services to these needs.
Objective: We conducted a needs assessment to identify the family needs of patients with CP attending two hospitals in Accra.
